Keri and I began conceptualizing a wedding that incorporated bold summer tones by using local and a mix of market selected florals. Wood tones and stone were key throughout the venue, so I kept the details focused, natural, and always in conversation with the setting. We worked with varying shades we called “summer pastels” and created monochromatic, simple bridesmaids bouquets tailored to each dress color. They blended into the palette rather than standing apart, so those same tones found their way into Keri’s bouquet in a seamless way.
We carried the theme indoors by repurposing ceremony florals from the stonewall arch and placing them at floor level in front of rectangular head tables to bring a sense of summer joy. Guest tables were styled with either compote centerpieces and votives or clusters of bud vases with color-blocked florals, making sure each table carried a clear visual highlight.
