Shannon and I envisioned a wedding design that celebrated color in a refined yet intentional way. While we primarily design weddings throughout Connecticut, it was a joy to travel to Massachusetts for Shannon and Andrew’s celebration at The Stevens Estate. It felt especially meaningful since I had created her sister’s wedding flowers the year before. Their palette of blush, peach, and ochre created a warm, seasonal balance with the estate’s historic architecture.
For the ceremony, we wove vines and asymmetrical florals through the iron arch, with grounded pieces framing their vows. After a rainy morning, a short clearing allowed us to set the ceremony outdoors. Those same florals were later moved into the tent, grounding the sweetheart table and softening the edges of the dance floor. During the transition I was able to connect with the photographer to capture the flowers in place, which I always appreciate as it keeps our creative visions aligned.
Reception tables carried the same sense of balance. Bud vases and taper candles were paired with antique gold compotes, each arrangement designed to highlight color without overwhelming the room. The overall design was thoughtful, cohesive, and true to Shannon and Andrew’s vision.
